Colbern Limited are a specialist recruitment agency and recruitment business, who aim to provide a high quality service working in partnership with their clients, agency workers and professional Bodies, in line with the Care Quality Commission Standards.

 

Within their Healthcare division, Colbern Limited provide healthcare professionals on short and long terms contracts/assignments and permanent placements.

One of the founder Directors has many years of experience within the recruitment industry at a senior level managing a number of locations offering Nursing and care recruitment solutions both to the Public and Private Sector. Bernie Gough was also involved in domiciliary agency supply and completed her NVQ Level 4 Care Management Qualification in 2006. She has a clear understanding of the Nursing and Care Sector and has advised a number of smaller independent agencies on operational, business development and compliance issues.

 

Hours of Operation

Office hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 excluding Bank Holidays

 

Out of hours service is also based in the office with the same telephone number as during the day 01707 323444

 

This operates between 17.00-22.00 Monday to Friday

and 0700-2200 Hours Saturday, Sunday and all Bank Holidays

 

We offer a service provision in a variety of environments including NHS Trusts, PCTs, Dental Practices, Nursing Homes, Care Homes and Private Hospitals.

 

Placing a booking for temporary staff

A booking will be taken by a trained member of staff, details of the date, time, location and a full description of the duties and experience/skills of the agency worker required. We will respond to any request for temporary bookings to the following timescales:-

When a booking is confirmed, if appropriate a booking number will be taken. The full name of agency worker will be confirmed. A confirmation of the booking will be forwarded either electronically or via fax confirming details of the booking.

 

Complaints

Colbern Limited recognise that sometimes clients or agency workers may wish to complaint about the service they have received or they may wish to compliment us on our service. Such comments or complaints will always be listened to and every effort made to resolve the issue that may have arisen.

 

How to make a Complaint

Colbern Limited has a clear written procedure for handling complaints. The procedure allows complaints to be made quickly and simply and allows us to gather all the necessary information and to investigate and resolve the complaint in accordance with strict timescales.

 

Complaints can be made to any member of staff who will take full particulars of the complaint and this can be forwarded to the Operations Director.

 

Once we have details of the complaint we will respond to you in writing within agreed timescales. You may receive a telephone call and/or the offer of a meeting if appropriate.

The Colbern team aims to gain a full understanding of the needs of clients and with a quality customer service ethos as the main focus whilst keeping in mind the individual needs of client and the right cost, we work with our clients to establish the best recruitment solution.

 

We look to establish working partnerships with our clients, not a here today gone tomorrow approach and that is why we review and revisit specific arrangements on an ongoing basis to make sure that the initial 'spec' is still the right one.

 

Once we have agreed the best way forward for our clients they can be safe in the knowledge that we have excellent systems and procedures in place to monitor our performance and our service. We have a suite of policies and procedures, which are reviewed regularly to ensure that they are meeting the needs of our business and therefore meeting the needs of our Clients, healthcare agency workers and candidates.

 

We also attend regular review meetings with our clients to discuss our service.

 

Our staff and are agency workers have regular performance review meetings and appraisals.

 

We also carry out quality service reviews including asking our clients to complete surveys to ensure that our service is meeting their needs. All feedback and recommendations are discussed with staff within the organisation and if appropriate implemented.

Permanent Placement Service

  • Colbern Limited carry out a database search of candidates suitable for your vacancy

  • Place an advertisement if no one suitable is registered

  • Pre-screen candidates

  • Carry out an in depth interview, which includes qualification verification, professional registration check and eligibility procedures.

  • Only those who are deemed to be suitable for the role and meet all criteria will be forwarded to the client.

  • Arrange interviews

  • Fee is based on % of 1st year's salary, if Colbern Limited don't place a suitable candidate no fee is charged.

Permanent Placement Plan

 

In these difficult times to assist our clients' cashflow and budgeting we have devised our Perm Placement Plan. This is a new fee structure we have introduced to offer our clients a more flexible approach to their recruitment budgeting. It is again based on a percentage of salary, but instead of a full fee paid up front the plan allows clients to pay in 10 equal instalments. The percentages are slightly higher than our straight permanent fee and whilst there isn't a rebate scheme, if the candidate should leave during the payment plan period then the instalments stop after the last full week. Payments must be paid on time or the full fee would become payable.

 

Temporary Staffing

 

Colbern Limited can offer individually tailored contract recruitment solutions to clients, from short notice placements, high volume regular bookings or long term contract staff who form part of your ongoing staff resource plan, holiday or sickness cover.

 

There are many cost effective options, including contractors working under limited company status, PAYE or fixed fee for the contractors' transfer to the client - whichever suits you best.

 

Colbern Limited is an established company however we are firm believers that there is not always a 'one size fits all' and for this reason the Directors, who are very much involved in the day to day running of the business with a proven track record of operating within supply contracts and service level agreements, are happy to discuss options and the best solution for you in more detail.

Recruitment Response Service

 

We have identified that not all our clients wish to have a traditional recruitment agency service. We have therefore put together some different options, which are designed to meet client's individual needs, whilst taking into consideration costs and the level of involvement clients may wish to have in the recruitment process.

 

Time is a major factor in any business and most Companies use their staff time and potential to its full at all times. So, when there is a vacancy to fill or a recruitment campaign planned this can stretch teams taking them away from their main duties. Our service is designed to alleviate this leaving your staff able to focus on their jobs, but still allowing you to fill that all important vacancy.

  • Send out your company information, application pack and job description

  • Pre-screen or telephone interview to clients' specification

  • Application forms are returned to Colbern Limited who carry out a further screening of applicants

  • Carry out 1st Interview and shortlist candidates for client interviews

  • Send details of all candidates along with the response report

  • Arrange 2nd interviews
