Rate: £19.849ph to £22.0304ph PAYE £25.79 – £28.64
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Area Education and Capital Officer.

Peterborough City Council has recently decoupled from Cambridgeshire County Council and a number of roles that were shared now need to be established in each Council. For Peterborough this has resulted in a gap in expertise covering statutory duties in relation to the planning and sufficiency of education places 5-16.

· Contribute to the Local Delivery Plan, including assessing potential sites (c.150) for development and the education sufficiency implications
· Refresh of the Education Organisation Plan to create a 3 -5 year plan
· Contribute to the development plan for education places to meet future demand based on current housing development plans, including identifying the best value ways of delivering places that minimise the impact on transport budgets
· Review the accuracy of place planning forecasts against recent experience of demand

It is envisaged that the work will require the equivalent of 2 to 3 days a week, largely will be carried out remotely, though some site visits to understand the context of Peterborough may be required.
