Homelessness and Housing Solutions Manager
Woodrow, Redditch, Working from Home (Part)
Contract
£23.55 per hour PAYE or £30 per hour Limited paid via Umbrella Company Inside IR35

Our client is looking for an experienced Homelessness and Housing Solutions Manager.

Lead, manage and through learning, develop the Homelessness Team and service, by implementation of strategies and initiatives that continuously improve services that finds compliant solutions to homelessness and prevents rough sleeping across the Borough. Strategic purpose

Operational purpose
• To lead, manage and develop the Homelessness and Housing Solutions Service, including project work
and development and implementation of strategies, initiatives and incentives that continuously
improve tenancy sustainment and reduce and prevent homelessness and rough sleeping across the
borough and sector.
• To fulfil the Local Authorities legal obligations to provide professional housing and homelessness advice
services to meet duties in: Part VI & VII Housing Act 1996 (as amended); Homelessness Reduction Act
2017; Welfare Reform, Safeguarding and the Children’s Act to all who call upon the service.
1 Higher education of at least A level or equivalent in a
Housing, legal or other subject highly relevant to the role
2 Have or be working towards CIH Level 4 or other relevant
qualification
3 Management and Leadership or Project Management
Qualification
4 Professional membership of CIH or other management
organisation
Knowledge and experience
5 At least 5 years demonstrable experience of working in
Homeless and Housing Options / Advice Services, with at
least two years at managerial level.
6 Extensive and current working knowledge of Homelessness
and Allocations case law and experience of its application in
reaching legally robust decisions
7 Knowledge of tenancy sustainment activities and their
delivery, along with an acute awareness of how activities
within your service area contribute to the bigger picture
8 Experience of providing excellent front-line customer
services in a relevant setting, that meet legal requirements
and produce high levels of customer satisfaction
