Our client is looking for an experienced EHC Assessment and Review Co-ordinator

Agile working, based at Town Hall, Hornton Street, Kensington. Postholder may be required to work across both Westminster and RBKC under Bi-Borough arrangements. Service: Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled SEN EHC Needs Assessment and Review Coordinator to join our Education, Health and Care (EHC) Service. This is a vital role supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You will be responsible for:

Managing a complex caseload of children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Drafting high-quality EHC Plans, ensuring they are person-centred, outcome-focused and fully evidence-based.
Processing annual reviews within statutory timeframes.
Coordinating multi-agency input across education, health and social care, ensuring strong relationships with families, schools, SENCOs and professionals.
Overseeing a large caseload of Looked After Children and young people transitioning into adult social care provision.
Managing high-cost out-of-borough placements and arrangements for children educated otherwise than at school.
Ensuring all EHC assessments are completed within the statutory 20-week timeframe.
Supporting Tribunal case preparation, responses to complaints, and contributions to service improvement.

This role is central to delivering high-quality statutory SEND functions under the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice (2015).

Strong knowledge of the Children & Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and associated legislation.
Experience in casework management within SEND, education, or a related local authority service.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
Confidence in building constructive relationships with families, schools, health professionals and partners.
High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
A commitment to inclusive practice, partnership working and improving outcomes for children and young people.

A degree-level qualification is required; SEND-related qualifications are desirable.
