Contract
£500 per day
Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Accountant.
Technical Accountant (to include Treasury Management)
Duration: End of March 2027 with likely extension
Mainly remote working: Must attend the office on the first to collect IT equipment
General technical accountant with corporate finance experience and to lead on implementing CIPFA Cash Flow models, forecasting etc (IFRS 19 financial instruments)
Must be:
Qualified Accountant
Advanced Excel skills
Local Government experience (5 years)

To support the Chief Accountant in the maintenance of key accounting records for Redditch Borough Council, including the register of fixed assets and statistical returns to Government.
To prepare the Final Accounts for RBC/BDC as directed by the Chief Accountant for Capital and Treasury including production of Prudential Indicators.
To produce the cash-flow for both Councils and keep it updated.
Experience of local authority accounting
Knowledge and understanding of key accounting principles
Working knowledge of Tech One or similar
Working knowledge of Word and Excel
Knowledge of Treasury Management
Management of cash-flow
Experience of budget preparation
Experience of final accounts closedown
Experience of completing financial and statistical returns
Working knowledge of Treasury Management
